LSWG Announces New Staff Members

The accounting firm of Linton Shafer Warfield & Garrett, P.A. (LSWG) is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members: Janet L. Gorden, CPA, Emily E. Hill, and Todd A. Wilcom.

Janet L. Gorden, CPA, has joined LSWG as a supervisor in the Frederick office. Ms. Gorden brings with her over 15 years of tax and audit experience. Originally from Ellicott City, Ms. Gorden earned a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus in 1994 and her CPA certification in May 1995. She is a member of the Maryland Association of CPAs, the Maryland Society of Accountants, and the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society at UMBC.

Locally, she serves as a Girl Scout Brownie leader and Boy Scout assistant scoutmaster. An active member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren, she teaches kindergarten Sunday School, is accountant for the youth group, and is a vacation bible school leader. Ms. Gorden and husband, Milton, reside in Frederick and are the proud parents of Stefanie, Ben, Valerie, and Adam.

Emily E. Hill has accepted the position of staff accountant in the Frederick Audit Department after earning a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College in 2010. Ms. Hill began working as a student intern at LSWG in early 2007 when she was a senior at Governor Thomas Johnson High School. A native of Frederick County, Emily resides in Frederick.

Todd A. Wilcom has joined the Tax and Audit Department of LSWG’s Rockville office after earning a B.S. in accounting from Towson University in 2010. A champion motocross racer and fan, Todd is a native of Frederick County where he currently resides.
