How the SafeSend Email Works

  • The SafeSend email is sent first to the primary taxpayer (the person listed first on the tax return).
  • After signing, the primary taxpayer may forward the email to their spouse to complete their signature.

Save a Copy of Your Return

  • Please download and save a copy of your tax return to your computer or a flash drive for your records.

Identity Verification

  • Answer the verification questions carefully and accurately.
  • If too many answers are incorrect, the system will lock the return.
  • These questions are system‑generated by SafeSend, not by LSWG.

Signing Method

  • Select Electronic Signing when prompted.
  • Do not choose the manual signing option.

Device & Browser Recommendations

  • Use a computer rather than a mobile phone for the best experience.
  • Recommended browsers: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
