How the SafeSend Email Works
- The SafeSend email is sent first to the primary taxpayer (the person listed first on the tax return).
- After signing, the primary taxpayer may forward the email to their spouse to complete their signature.
Save a Copy of Your Return
- Please download and save a copy of your tax return to your computer or a flash drive for your records.
Identity Verification
- Answer the verification questions carefully and accurately.
- If too many answers are incorrect, the system will lock the return.
- These questions are system‑generated by SafeSend, not by LSWG.
Signing Method
- Select Electronic Signing when prompted.
- Do not choose the manual signing option.
Device & Browser Recommendations
- Use a computer rather than a mobile phone for the best experience.
- Recommended browsers: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
