SafeSend Tax Return FAQs
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about using SafeSend Returns. These FAQs are designed to help you navigate the process with confidence, from accessing your return to signing and submitting your e‑file authorization forms.

Yes, email notifications will be sent from LSWG, P.A. at noreply@safesendreturns.com. To prevent the email from getting filtered to spam/junk, we recommend adding this email address to your safe list.
Yes. SafeSend Returns provides a secure platform for viewing and signing your e-file authorization form(s). Be sure the site URL begins with https:// and that a padlock icon appears in your browser’s address bar to confirm you’re on the secure site.

The questions SafeSend Returns presents are knowledge‑based and pulled from government and credit sources. You may be asked things like where you lived in a certain year or when you purchased your car or home. If a question doesn’t apply to you, simply select the answer that reflects that. After failing all attempts (often 3 sets of 5 questions), the system will lock you out of e-signing and require manual signature.
This process can be completed on any computer, smartphone, or tablet using a web browser. There is currently no SafeSend Returns app available. Google Chrome is the recommended browser.

SafeSend Returns allows you to electronically sign your e‑file authorization form(s), but it does not submit your return to the IRS. Once you’ve signed, LSWG is automatically notified and will complete the e‑filing process on your behalf, including submission to the IRS.
Yes. You can print, sign, and mail your e‑file form(s) back to LSWG if you prefer, though we do discourage this since SafeSend provides an electronic record of your signature. During the online process, select ‘manually sign.’ Please note that once you choose manual signing, you’ll need to contact your office administrator if you later decide to sign electronically instead.
For spouses filing jointly, the process is straightforward and easy to follow.
- The spouse who receives the return first will complete their portion of the signing process.
- During their signing, they’ll be asked to enter or confirm the other spouse’s email address. You may still send the second signature request to the same email if preferred.
- The second spouse will then receive an email to complete their signature using the same steps.
- Once both spouses have signed, LSWG is immediately notified.
