Paula Babcock, E.A.
Senior Tax Accountant

Paula Babcock, E.A., has joined LSWG as a senior tax accountant in the firm’s Frederick office where she is a tax preparer working primarily with closely-held businesses.  An Enrolled Agent (authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS), she has spent over a decade as a tax preparer and consultant with small businesses in the construction, automotive, retail, biotech, and professional services industries.  Paula has over 20 years’ experience in the financial and accounting industry, having begun her career as a financial services intern for a bank. After graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1999, where she earned a B.S. in business (accounting with a minor in mathematics), she worked within mutual fund accounting. She held a Series 7 license during her tenure in that position, making her especially adept at working with complex investments.  Her most recent endeavor was four years in internal accounting, serving as the Director of Business Operations for a biotech company prior to joining LSWG.  A member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Paula and her husband, Scott, reside in Mount Airy with their three children:  Ethan, Connor, and Clare.  In her free time she enjoys traveling (wineries are a favorite), Pilates, and rooting for her children and their teams (soccer, lacrosse, swim team, and gymnastics).

Dennise Haymaker, E.A.
Staff Accountant II

Dennise Haymaker, E.A., has joined LSWG’s Frederick Tax Department as a staff accountant II where she is a tax preparer with over 12 years of experience.  She is an Enrolled Agent (authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS) and QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor.  Prior to joining LSWG, Dennise spent 10 years as a financial advisor, registered with FINRA and SEC and held the Series 7, 66, and WV Life and Health licenses.  Her areas of expertise include insurance, investments, and real estate.  She also has prior experience with human resources issues, payroll, and accounts payable.  Dennise is a 2001 graduate of Shepherd University where she earned a B.S. in accounting and business administration with a concentration in marketing.  A member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Virginia Chapter, where she is a past education co-chair, Dennise has volunteered for over five years providing tax counseling for the elderly in Jefferson County, West Virginia.  Originally from Puerto Rico, Dennise grew up in the town of Salinas, served two years in the Army ROTC, and is fluent in Spanish.  She and her husband, Kevin, currently reside in Charles Town, West Virginia.  They are the proud parents of three grown boys, and have five grandchildren—with one more on the way.  Dennise enjoys photography and traveling when time permits.

Anthony Jacques
Staff Accountant

Anthony Jacques has joined LSWG as a staff accountant in the Frederick Audit and Tax Department where he is responsible for providing accounting and tax support to the firm’s business, nonprofit, and individual clients.  A graduate of Grace Academy, in Hagerstown, Anthony earned a B.S. in accounting from Shepherd University in 2019 while working 20 to 30 hours a week as a package handler for UPS.  Originally from Smithsburg, Anthony currently resides in Hagerstown.

Marianne Morais
Staff Accountant

Marianne Morais has joined LSWG as a staff accountant in the Frederick Audit and Tax Department where she is responsible for providing accounting and tax support to the firm’s business, nonprofit, and individual clients.  She is a 2018 magna cum laude graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University where she earned a B.S. in accounting with a double minor in business and philosophy.  While at the Mount, Marianne was a member of the National Honor Society for Catholic Universities (Delta Epsilon Sigma), the International Honor Society in Philosophy (Phi Sigma Tau), the International Honor Society in Business (Delta Mu Delta), the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Accounting Club and volunteered for Special Olympics.  Additionally, Marianne is a recipient of the Knight Exemplar for extraordinary achievement in math.  Originally from Rockville, Marianne grew up—and currently resides—in the Myersville area where she was a graduate of Middletown High School.
