We’re pleased to announce the return of a familiar face. Sheron S. Kominos, CPA, has joined LSWG as a manager in our Frederick office. Long-time clients and associates of LSWG may remember Sheron from early in her career when she served as controller/manager for Linton, Shafer & Company. While working in public accounting, she focused on management advisory services for small businesses. After 13 years in public accounting, she moved to private industry and worked as a financial manager for different companies in the professional services, retail services and construction industries. Sheron specializes in cash and loan management, budgeting, and forecasting and is a QuickBooks® Online ProAdvisor. She is a 1984 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.S. in accounting. She is a member of the Maryland Association of CPAs and a State of Maryland notary public. Sheron has two daughters, Samantha and Sydney, a granddaughter (Lucy), and a golden-doodle (Peyton). An avid gardener and golfer, Sheron and her fiancé Jeff reside in Jefferson and enjoy spending their free time at their vacation home in North Myrtle Beach.
New to LSWG and joining us in our Frederick office as a staff accountant is Corey D. Patterson. Corey assists with tax preparation and audits of the firm’s individual, business, and nonprofit clients. A QuickBooks® Certified ProAdvisor, Corey spent 14 years in retail management–and as a golf professional (he was a member of the PGA from 2004 to 2012)–prior to joining LSWG. He is a graduate of the University of Akron where he earned a B.S. in marketing management in 2000 and is continuing his studies in pursuit of CPA certification. Originally from Coshocton, Ohio, Corey and his wife McCamie (a Frederick native) and their son Owen currently reside in Frederick. He continues to play golf—along with tennis, running, and hiking—in his free time.
