Getting to Know LSWG – Billy Harper

Next in our series of better acquainting you with our fellow LSWG co-workers and friends…Meet Billy Harper…
Billy is one of the newest—and youngest—members of the LSWG team. He joined LSWG in 2017 as a staff accountant in the Frederick Audit and Tax Department shortly after graduating from Slippery Rock University. He is a Frederick County native and graduate of Urbana High School.
An avid sports fan, Billy’s favorite teams are the Washington Redskins and the Capitals.
- Football, fishing, and golf – Billy not only enjoys watching sports, he also enjoys playing: football while at Urbana High School, fishing for catfish on the Potomac, and he recently started playing golf—which is quickly becoming a favorite pastime for him.
- On the water –Billy enjoys spending time on the water. In addition to fishing, he enjoys spending time at the family pool, boating, and kayaking (favorite kayaking spots: Black Hills Regional Park, Lake Linganore, and the Potomac River).
- Favorite TV show – Game of Thrones. (He is also a fan of The Office, Westworld, and Breaking Bad.)
- On his bucket list – Skydiving.
Billy enjoys being on the water as much as possible. Favorite summer pastime: Boating with the family. 
Billy played left tackle for the 2010 Urbana High School State Champions team. 
Billy’s family recently rescued a goat that they enjoyed so much, they got a second goat. They now have two goats and two dogs: Titan, a boxer, and Honi, a Labrador retriever. 
Billy was at Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals cheering on his team.
