Getting to Know LSWG – Barbara Roman, CPA

Meet Barbara J. Roman, CPA …

LSWG’s co-managing principal, Barbara, joined LSWG’s Frederick office in 2002.  In addition to heading up many of the firm’s nonprofit and for-profit audits and reviews, she—along with her co-managing partner, Kevin Hessler—ensure the smooth operation of LSWG.

Barbara and her husband of 17 years, Kevin (Roman), reside in Martinsburg, WV.  Free time?  These days she doesn’t have much of it, but she makes it a point to make time for…

• Travel. She and Kevin (her husband) enjoy traveling, and are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Alaska, Ireland, and regularly return with friends to the Mexican Pacific coastal town of Puerto Vallarta.
• California. It’s a good thing she likes to travel—especially since her son, Keenan, and granddaughters, Marie and Charlotte, moved to Anaheim, California, a couple of years ago.  She makes it a point to get out to the West Coast several times a year to see them.
• Church. Active church members, Barbara and Kevin are Certified Christian Couples Counselors who meet regularly with couples from their congregation who seek spiritual guidance while navigating a rough patch in their relationship.
• Women’s Giving Circle.  Barbara has been treasurer of Frederick County’s WGC for over seven years.
