Supporting Lily’s Hope 5K

Jeanne Hall and Rrezarta Sopa represented LSWG in the race. They didn’t finish first, but they didn’t finish last, either.

LSWG and Doug Warfield were proud sponsors of the 2017 Lily’s Hope 5K Run/Walk held at West Winds in New Market on Sunday, November 12.

LSWG marketing manager, Jeanne Hall, and staff accountant, Rrezarta Sopa, participated in the event.  It was a chilly, but beautiful morning on race day with a fun and festive atmosphere for a very serious cause:  Raising money for Lily Weaver, a 16-year-old childhood cancer advocate who is battling Ewing’s Sarcoma.  Learn more about Lily’s story here.

Over 600 people registered to race and hundreds more volunteered and came out to support the cause.  The day raised over $5,000.  Donations are still being accepted.  If you would like to support Lily and her fight, you can do so here.

The outpouring of support and fellowship from the West Winds community was very moving.
