The certified public accounting firm of Linton Shafer Warfield & Garrett (LSWG) is proud to announce the admission of Jennifer P. Clingan, CPA, and Lisa D. Landaverde, CPA, to the firm’s principal group.

Ms. Clingan has been working in public accounting since 1995 and is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Towson State University, where she earned bachelors’ degrees in accounting and English literature, respectively. She joined the Frederick tax department of LSWG in 2002, after spending eight years with a CPA firm in Bethesda. Ms. Clingan specializes in serving owner-managed businesses and is especially adept at and enjoys working with new business ventures. A member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Maryland Association of CPAs, she is also active in the local community, serving on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Frederick County, and as treasurer of the Southern Frederick County Rotary Club. Ms. Clingan has coordinated fundraisers for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and has raised over $3,500 in the past two years.

Ms. Landaverde joined LSWG in 2000, bringing with her over 15 years of accounting experience in private industry. She specializes in compilation and review services, tax planning and consulting, and tax return preparation for small businesses and individuals. She also provides QuickBooks® and Peachtree® support to clients. A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus, where she earned a B.A. in economics and minors in accounting and finance, she is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Maryland Association of CPAs. Locally, Ms. Landaverde is a member of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, where she served as treasurer from 2002 to 2004, and an active member of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, where she serves on the finance committee and is a member of the Coventry Handbell Choir.
