David A. Laramore, CPA, has joined the accounting firm of Linton Shafer Warfield & Garrett, P.A., (LSWG) in the Frederick office. Mr. Laramore brings with him nearly 20 years of public accounting experience—most recently with a regional firm in northern Virginia. He specializes in tax planning and preparation for individuals, corporations, and nonprofits, and has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs and closely-held businesses.

Originally from Annapolis, where he was a graduate of Annapolis High School, Mr. Laramore earned his B.S. in accounting from Shepherd College in 1989. Licensed in both Maryland and Virginia, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Virginia Society of CPAs. Locally, he serves as treasurer for the Thurmont Little League, coaches local youth sports, and is an active volunteer with the Brookhill United Methodist Church finance committee and youth group. Mr. Laramore resides in Thurmont with his wife, Ellen, and their three children: Joshua, Peyton, and Madigan.
